Juan Carlos Solans

I like drawing, and painting with acrylic. In 2016 I was selected as participant in an art festival in my town, thanks to my work “Horror en Ali Hoca”, where I made a figurative painting representing the Syrian little boy Alan Kurdi, who died trying to reach Europe in September 2015. My artwork tried to condemn the refugee crisis and serve as a reflection against such a sad situation

My life:

I’m originally from Huesca, Spain, where i did my bachelor in International studies, following my Industrial Engineering degree in Zaragoza. Once I finished my degree, I joined multinational company there in supply chain management. Soon after graduation, I have decided to join the IT industry and started my career as SAP technical consultant. After having a solid experience in Spain, in September 2019, I accepted the challenge of moving to Dubai and work in SAP S4/HANA Projects with Seidor team.

In Dubai:

During the week days I follow a routine. Every day after work I do sports activity. After exercise I go supermarket to buy what I will cook for dinner. Then I cook while listening to some nice music, and after dinning I enjoy watching some film, tv series, football match… or just reading something and relaxing before sleeping.

On weekends, as everyone I like to spend time with my friends, going to the swimming pool, and I also many times prefer stay home improving my skills. What I like the most is to try different restaurants and visiting new places, as Dubai is amazing for that and you can find so many different options.

My hobbies:

I like to create and publish podcasts (select the music and mix it creating different ambiances with each one, from chilling to party ones).

I like also producing electronic music (which relates to technology as I use a DAW -Digital Audio Workstation- to make it). I learned by myself checking several manuals and tutorials in internet, which is also related to my work as we are constantly looking for information and learning by ourselves about the newest SAP features.

I am a faithful Real Madrid supporter. I enjoy not only watching the games, but also listening to the expert’s football analysis before and after the games.

I like to travel and visit different countries. This year I visited beautiful Sri Lanka, where unfortunately happened the terrorist attacks. I was lucky to be far from city center in the south so I was not effected. I feel very sad about what happened, because Sri Lankan people is wonderful and extremely kind.
